Titan Laser Skin Tightening in Denver
Titan is a safe laser that works all skin colors and types.
What is the Titan Laser?
The Titan Laser is a revolutionary new way to remove unwanted wrinkles and firm skin. It has been found most effective in treating loose skin on the abdomen, back of the upper arm, along the jaw line and under the chin. It can also be used on the legs.
An important note is that there is a limit to how much change the Titan Laser can make in a person's skin condition. Extremely wrinkled skin or photodamaged skin is not likely to achieve satisfactory results and patients with this level of damage are not good candidates. In addition, the Titan Laser will not remove stretch marks, but then neither will any other laser treatment.
Patients have been very satisfied with the results they receive from Titan Laser treatment. The laser works through the use of infrared light that penetrates deep into tissue below the skin's surface. Use of the Titan Laser is recommended because of the uniform energy the light produces.
How does the Titan Laser work?
Treatments that involve radio frequencies are less uniform. The light reacts with the water that is present in the deep tissue and creates energy that in turn causes the water to warm up. Temperature is regulated so that the water only heats to a degree that promotes collagen contraction. Nothing heats too much or to a level that would cause pain, discomfort or burn any part of the surrounding tissue. Furthermore, the hand piece of the laser acts as a coolant to the outer skin layer, adding an extra level of protection. Collagen contraction beneath the skin is immediate but the complete effects are no noticeable right away. The more time that passes the more the collagen is able to contract and rebuild, creating the firm smooth skin desired by the patient. Patients are usually happy with results after one to three treatments but a discussion with your doctor will ensure the correct number and frequency of treatments are conducted to provide the desired effects. Typical side effects include mild swelling and redness around the treated area but these should go away after a few hours. Perhaps the only detractive aspect of the Titan Laser is that treatment can be uncomfortable for some people. Patients are encouraged to take Tylenol prior to the treatment and are warned of continued discomfort. During the treatment short bursts of heat are felt with the pulses of light. A tolerable level of energy is agreed upon by the doctor and patient to minimize pain.
Who is a good candidate for receiving Titan Laser treatment?
Most patients are 30 years old or older, though age is not a determining factor. The quality of the skin and the expectations of the patient are more important aspects to consider. People with extreme laxity in skin are better suited for traditional face lifts and more extensive plastic surgery. In addition, people with excess fat will not see changes in the tightness of skin. Knowledge of realistic expectations is essential for the patient to be happy with the final results. A thorough consultation will answer all of your questions and prepare you for what to expect before, during and after Titan Laser treatment.
